Charging Solution for iPhone and iWatch
The OmniBolt was an outside-the-box solution that combined functionality and form with an elegant and efficient product - a docking station for iPhone and iWatch. Stable and compact, the docking station housed Apple’s OEM chargers.
BYOC (BRING YOUR OWN CHARGER)
The OmniBolt Charging Stand did not have any built-in electronical components. Instead, it had compartments for the user to insert the chargers already included with their iPhone and iWatch. This design helped expediate the overall development process.
MATERIAL AND TEXTURE
Casted magnesium provided stability for the stand. In addition, the outside housing was covered in silicone for the matte finish. The team worked closely with the supplier to dial-in on the durometer to ensure a proper fit around the magnesium part.
