Single Stage Monitor Arm
Functionality combined with sophisticated design language makes Humanscale the leader in the commercial monitor arm space. Customers include Delta Airlines, Nike, and more. Product options include a highly adjustable monitor arm.
HUMANSCALE FAMILY
Humanscale specializes in premium office furniture and accessories focusing on ergonomics and functionality for users. The design language typically incorporates sophisticated lines combined with premium materials and superb functionality. The M1 monitor arm was targeted at a lower price-point than most Humanscale products, which allowed for lower cost material (plastic instead of casted aluminum). The adjustment in materials did not sacrifice the Humanscale design standards; ensuring the same design focus on the principles: clean, simple, and elegant.
DESIGN EXPLORATION
Initial design exploration included different form-factor such as inspiration from other Humanscale products and material finishes. The final evaluation opted for the most modern and clean design.
INSPECT AND REFINEMENT
With full access to an R&D facility including a 3D printer, CNC machine, spray paint room, and testing equipment, designers utilized these tools to enhance the design process. All design surfaces and features were validated before moving forward to the manufacturing process.
SUPPLIER COLLABORATION
Throughout the manufacturing process, I worked closely with overseas suppliers. After reviewing all designs and drawings, the suppliers offered their recommendations for the most efficient manufacturing process. I was able to visit the facility and review each part to ensure quality.
INSTALLATION USER EXPERIENCE
Ensured the installation instructions were easy to follow; a part of the overall user experience was an overall seamless customer experience.
